Essay

The problem of behavior of the complex nonlinear oscillatory system, i.e., structure with liquid with a free surface is considered in the thesis within the framework of combined motion of the system components. Peculiarities of manifestation of resonant properties of the system, its behavior for transient processes and vibrational excitation of motion are studied. Potential of application of pendulum suspension as a mean of seismic protection were investigated, the method of determination of the optimal suspension length is substantiated ; efficiency of the suggested approach was shown by the example of motion of the suspension point for real parameters of earthquake.
