The necessity of improving the mechanisms of state governance for the development of economic cooperation between Ukraine and the EU was implementation of the economic part of the Association Agreement were actualized. Theoretical and methodological approaches to the state governance of economic cooperation between Ukraine and the EU were defined, a retrospective analysis of the development of economic cooperation in the process of European integration was carried out, the principles, functions, content of public administration in this area were considered. The necessity of harmonization of national legislation with the relevant provisions of the EU acquis, the implementation of the necessary administrative and institutional reforms, improving the efficiency of institutional and organizational mechanisms of state governance to prevent the risks of cooperation have been proved. The possibilities and forms of state support for economic cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the process of implementation of the Association Agreement are substantiated, the necessity of developing active forms of cross-border cooperation has been proved. An integrated mechanism of state governance for the development of economic cooperation between Ukraine and the EU within the framework of the Association Agreement has been developed, which ensures the creation of the necessary regulatory sphere, institutional and organizational structure of cooperation.
