Essay

The dissertation elaborates in detail the deployment of a dialogue in the process of literary creative work as well as expands and clarifies the literary understanding of this phenomenon. The complex analysis of the concept «intertextuality» within and outside the postmodern paradigm of thinking is carried out; the vectors of its comprehension in terms of author’s work and reader’s co-creation are singled out. The theory is clarified and features of literary and creative interpretation of a literary work are traced. Conceptual apparatus is clarified due to the comparison of concepts «creative interpretation» and «creative interpretation model», which enables theoretical conceptualization of creative writing as interpretation. Helmut Baierl, the playwright whose work until now had remained undefined by national science, was introduced for the first time in the Ukrainian literary studies. Drama-adaptations by H. Baierl were analyzed for the first time from the point of view of modern poetics, taking into account the dialogical nature and intertextuality. The literary interpretation of H. Baierl’s works and H. Baierl’s analysis of peculiarities of creative interpretation of B. Brecht’s works allowed determining the adaptations made by the playwright as creative interpretation models of various levels. H. Baierl’s work with its inherent synthesis of theoretical and creative interpretations confirms the conclusion that creative writing is a dialogue of one artist with another one/ ones which results in a creative and / or theoretical interpretation of the works of the latter one / ones. The scientific novelty of the thesis is to clarify the theory of literary and creative interpretation of a literary work. The significance of a dialogue in the process of literary creative writing and the understanding of its main internal and intertextual correlations are elucidated. The development of a dialogue in the process of literary creative writing was explained in detail, which contributed to the clarification of the literary understanding of this phenomenon and to the definition of new ways for its interpretation. For the first time, the dialogical essence of H. Baierl’s works was analyzed and the most indicative types of intertextuality in his works were revealed. For the first time a literary interpretation of H. Baierl’s works was made and the main features of H. Baierl’s creative interpretation of B. Brecht’s work were analyzed. Furthermore, the terminological apparatus was clarified, due to which, in some aspects, the concepts of «literary creative writing», «creative interpretation», «literary interpretation», «adaptation», «dialogical nature», «intertextuality» are newly comprehended. The first chapter of the dissertation study «Literary creative writing as a dialogue» is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of a dialogue as the primary source of any artistic activity with its significance in the process of interpretation of a literary work. It was determined that a dialogue is not only a condition or a precondition, but also a cause, a means and a universal mechanism for the emergence of a new in the creation process. This chapter also dwells upon the theoretical and creative dialogue between H. Baierl and B. Brecht, which focuses on the main concepts of the epic theater. The second chapter «The Concept of intertextuality within and outside the postmodern theoretical and artistic paradigm of thinking» is devoted to the phenomenon of intertextual interaction and the genesis of its literary reflection. This chapter outlines the main norms and principles for the theory of intertextuality. It was proven that intertext and precedent text / texts are in constant contact and interaction, which manifests itself both on literary and linguistic level. Therefore, intertextuality, expressing a certain degree of creativity of a literary writing, involves a certain movement of cultural information in the infinite space of texts with the constant adding of new intertexts and meanings. The third chapter «Interpretation of a literary work as a factor of dialogical creation and reproduction» focuses on literary and creative interpretation of a literary work. This chapter analyzes the experience of philosophical hermeneutics, makes a distinction between a text and a literary work, and casts light on the relevance of the parody and stylization in literary creative writing. Considerable attention is paid to H. Baierl’s theoretical and practical (creative) interpretation of works by B. Brecht. It is stated that H. Baierl’s works, presented as a plurality of creative interpretation models of different levels with certain inherent elements of parody / stylization based on their pretexts, are a synthesis of a theoretical interpretation of B. Brecht’s ideas and a creative interpretation of his plays.
