Babieieva O. Statistical estimation of the labor potential in Ukraine

The thesis defines the role and place of labor potential in the economy of Ukraine, reveals the essence of labor potential as an object of statistical research, substantiates the influence of key factors on the state and development of labor potential. The classification of key factors that have a significant impact on the state and development of labor potential has been improved. The basic directions of perfection of statistical analysis and estimation of labor potential (extensive and intensive) on the basis of the formed information and analytical support are substantiated, creation of which contributes to the development of an effective mechanism for regulating the processes of formation, use and reproduction of labor potential both in Ukraine and in separate regions. The methodical approach to calculating the integral value based on the method of multidimensional average with the use of weighting coefficients obtained by the expert estimation method, which reflects the significance of each component of the labor potential, is proposed. The system of statistical indicators has been improved, which used to analyze the state and development of labor potential. The methods of statistical forecasting for determining the expected number of Ukraine's labor potential in the short-term perspective are scientifically substantiated.
