Essay

The current scientific and technical problem of optimization of microstructure and functional properties of powders of titanium alloys with spherical and non-spherical particles for 3D printing technologies was solved. It is shown that the use of hydrogen processing by the method of hydrogenation-dehydrogenation allows us to form the desired form and the corresponding fractional composition of the studied powders. Estimation of the level of micromechanical properties of the build-up layers on the basis of titanium alloy powders of the brand VT20 showed that the highest microhardness (HV 4.68 GPa) is characterized by increasing layers of VT20 alloy particles of fraction 160 ... 200 μm irrespective of their morphology. At the same time, the values of the yield curve (1.25-1.32 GPa) of these layers from the non-spherical particles of the powder are not inferior to the value of the yield curve (0.95-1.48 GPa) of the layers of the spherical particles of the powder, regardless of their fractional composition. For JSC MOTOR SICH, recommendations for the modernization of the technological process for the restoration of blades of turbines of aviation engines with the use of the titanium alloy powder brand VT20 with the help of additive technologies have been developed.
