The dissertation is devoted to determination of the essence and peculiarities of the administrative and legal bases of activity of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The study presents a modern view on the understanding of the public service activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the place of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the system of entities providing public services in the law-enforcement sphere. The concept, system and principles of legal regulation of activity of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are revealed. The tasks and functions of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are analyzed. The concept and the range of public services, which are provided through the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, are defined. The content of the procedure for providing public services by the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is explored. The legal nature and range of guarantees of activity of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is revealed. Particular attention is paid to the disclosure of forms and methods of interaction of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with other bodies, services and units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The scientific-theoretical conclusions and practical proposals aimed at improving the legislation, the norms of which regulate the principles of activity of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, are grounded and the author's vision of ways of their improvement is formed.
