Essay

The work is devoted to the study of the course features of generalized periodontitis (GP) of II-III stage and improvement of mucogingival osteoplasty and medical support in such patients. GP was detected to be accompanied by increased plaque indices, echo-osteometric and radiologic changes in periodontal bone tissue, morphological disorders, imbalance of pro- and antioxidant indices, inflammatory markers, bone metabolism, and liver functional status. Modified mucogingival osteoplasty improved by the periosteum penetration with additional endo- and exogenous medical support in the preoperative and postoperative periods contributed to the regulation of all detected disorders and the achievement of the disease remission.
