Alieva S. Social security for migrant employees in Ukraine and EU countries.

The thesis is devoted to the study of general theoretical studies, as well as to the study of legal regulation of the implementation of social security for labor migrants both in Ukraine and in the EU. In the dissertation the author studies general theoretical questions about the origin and nature of labor migration, understanding of the concept of migrant worker and its types. Besides, the features of legal regulation of social security of this category of persons in Ukraine and in Europe are studied also in accordance with the national legal system, EU law and intergovernmental bilateral and multilateral agreements. The categorical-conceptual apparatus was discovered and improved, particularly, such notions as «labor migrant», «labor migration», «social security of a migrant worker», «forms of legal protection of a migrant worker», «measures of legal protection of a migrant worker» are defined. The main disadvantages of the social security of labor migrants are highlighted, and the author formulates his own proposals for improving social security measures and legal protection of migrant workers in the context of studying the legal regulation of this problem.
