Essay

This research focuses on the legal regulation of information relations related to the use of the Internet and Internet technologies. The global Internet network is an integral part of the information society and plays an important role in its further development. It occupies a prominent place in the history of the development of world civilization. It has been clarified, the term «Internet relations» is understood to be the social relations, which emergence and development were caused by the use of the Internet with the help of special software and hardware. Such relations arise in the Internet space between the participants, who act as bearers of subjective rights and obligations in relation to the realization of their information needs and interests. The classification of information relations in the global Internet network has been proposed in the following way: relations arising from the provision of access to the network, information resources (relations directly related to the Internet as a telecommunication network); relations arising in the field of e-commerce (between participants in the field of e-mmerce); relations arising in the field of information security of a person, society and state in cyberspace; information relations, which are found in the field of intellectual property rights in relation to the protection of copyright objects, placed on the Internet; information relations arising from use of the Internet of things. The initiative to adopt the Information Code of Ukraine is supported, a separate section of which is proposed to include the section «Legal regulation of relations related to the use of the Internet». It should contain relevant terms that are already defined in other laws regulations, and it is also necessary to amend the list with new definitions, such as: «Internet of things», «cloud technologies», «artificial intelligence», «Big data» and others. The proposed section should contain certain relevant provisions of the regulatory legal acts, in particular, the Laws of Ukraine «On e-commerce», «On electronic trust services», «On electronic documents and electronic document circulation», «On the basic principles of ensuring cybersecurity of Ukraine», and certain provisions of other acts of the legislation, which norms regulate information relations related to the use of the Internet.
