The dissertation studies the peculiarities of the speech aggression manifestations in the political discourse of electronic editions of the United States and Great Britain from the perspective of cognitive linguistics and communication theory. In the course of research the content of such notions as “speech aggression”, “political electronic discourse” is determined; the terminological clarification of the notion “invective frame” is given; the cognitive structure unraveling around the basic dichotomy of the political discourse “We :: They” is reconstructed; frame-evoking lexical units of which are analyzed; the peculiarities of verbalization of the category “subject of speech aggression” were determined; the cognitive-linguistic techniques of speech aggression objectivization were discovered; language means of realization of speech aggression strategies are detected and elucidated; the aggression scale of an utterance is developed; the peculiarities of the speech aggression manifestations are observed in the political discourse of electronic editions of the United States and Great Britain.
