Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the clarification of the essence of the philosophical and legal determinants of the axiological universe of the personality of the soldier, the definition of his features, the connection with other moral and legal principles, the identification of the boundaries of formation and the possibility of adjusting the value orientation of a serviceman in the conditions of a hybrid war on the territory of Ukraine. The definition of the notion of a universal serviceman universe is formulated, consisting of a set of norms and values that form the purpose of its activity by directing the needs and interests, which it consciously adheres to in daily behavior. The process of forming a value universe is complex and lengthy, since the serviceman must be prepared for restrictions imposed by the service, have a good physical and steady mental health, which will ensure the successful implementation of combat missions. The peculiarities of the determinants of modern requirements for the formation of the value universe of military personnel were determined, which allowed to emphasize the presence of the developed worldview, based on the principles of humanism, patriotism, responsibility for the task entrusted. This is far from a complete list of features that he must possess, especially in a hybrid war, but these are the main characteristics that will affect the quality of his service to protect his state and its citizens. These three features are pivotal for the further development of the soldier as a person and lay the foundations for the formation of his value universe. Key words: serviceman, man, citizen, society, state, hybrid war, national security, values, axiology, value universe, determinants, philosophy of law.
