Essay

The work is devoted to the study of the reactivity of the biochemical composition of mixed saliva in children with dento-jaw anomalies (DJA), which used for the treatment of non-removable and removable orthodontic equipment. For the first time, a relationship was established and a comparative assessment was made of the dynamics of changes in physicochemical, biochemical and enzyme immunoassay parameters of the mixed saliva of a group of healthy children and children with DJA, who used fixed and removable orthodontic appliances. Established a significant difference in Student's criterion between the groups surveyed (p≤0.05). For the first time it has been proved that fixed (to a greater extent) and removable orthodontic appliances provoke deterioration of oral hygiene, which leads to acidification of the environment, leads to an imbalance of demineralization and remineralization processes and is accompanied by active loss of calcium and phosphorus, activation of bone resorption. Violation of homeostasis in the oral cavity stimulates oxidative processes that become triggers of changes. Key words: dento-jaw anomalies, orthodontic treatment, children, saliva, biochemical composition. Branch-Medicine.
