The doctoral thesis investigates participation of the prosecutor in pretrial proceedings. It also designates the task of the prosecutor at this stage of criminal proceedings and describes his general and specific powers in the pretrial proceedings. Based on the analysis of the current normative model of prosecutor ‘s participation in the pretrial proceedings, doctrinal approaches to the characterization of his legal status, law enforcement practice, the work provides and substantiates a number of proposals aimed at improving the normative regulation of the prosecutor’s procedural activities.
