Modern challenges create new demands not only on choosing a business model, but also on the quality of the logistics processes that includes social and ecological aspects. At the edge of the generation Industry 4.0 in parallel, such assertions as eco-friendliness of a product, energy parsimony of its production, methods of recovery and recycling, eco-friendliness of transport, on which movements along the entire supply chain are carried out.
Implementation of the sustainable development strategy from the point of view of the logistics of the machine-building enterprise is not only the use and creation of progressive socio-ecological standards in management policy, but also the organization of monitoring of qualitatively new processes – communication technologies – thanks to cooperation with partners (suppliers, clients) of the appropriate level, specialized logistics structures and all interested parties.
The description of logistics policy at different stages of implementation the strategy of sustainable development of foreign machine-building enterprises, as well as leaders of domestic mechanical engineering, which are in the active phases of diversification of types of activities and markets and are heading for perspective goals of sustainable development is explained.
The factors which influenced the sustainable development of enterprises and, accordingly, changed their logistics policy are distinguished in this paper, among which are: awareness of the importance of their activities, attraction of investments, availability of foreign capital, partial reorganization of enterprises or diversification of activities, strategic partnership, etc.
The effectiveness of the logistics policy of the enterprise, from the socio-economic and ecological point of view, is influenced by the commercial interests of the major co-owners of capital, which are not always ready to approve risky environmental projects, the corporate culture of foreign co-owners, as well as the scale of expansion of sales geography, constant modernization of production facilities, allocation funds by the enterprise for R&D, maintaining competitive positions at the expense of quality of goods, long-term relationships with contractors, etc.
The process of introduction of logistics policy in realization of the strategy of sustainable development as an innovative project is described, the mechanism of construction of the enterprise logistic policy on the principles of sustainable development is elaborated, which reflects the integration of expedient wider logistic solutions, taking into account the possibilities of the enterprise and modern trends of development of socially responsible business.
