Kononenko V. Features of acceptance to work and dismissal from work for scientific and pedagogical workers.

The dissertation is an independent completed scientific work devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the work of scientific and pedagogical workers, the state of regulation of the conditions and grounds for recruitment, as well as the analysis of grounds, order and guarantees in the release of this category of employees. Proper understanding of the essence and content of scientific and pedagogical activities is important not only for the development of science, but also for improving the education system in Ukraine through the provision of a qualified specialist training. Scientific and pedagogical activity consists of the following types of activities: 1) educational; 2) scientific; 3) methodical; 4) organizational; 5) disciplinary. Subjects of this activity should be considered: 1) directly persons who hold scientific and pedagogical positions, the list of which is clearly defined by the legislation; 2) persons studying in institutions of higher education; 3) persons who facilitate the implementation of such activities. Taking into account the exceptional importance of the profession of scientific and pedagogical workers, candidates for these positions are determined by high requirements and a special procedure of acceptance, which includes competitive selection. In addition to the special arrangements for hiring, the law, in addition to the general grounds for the release of persons who perform educational functions, established additional grounds for termination of an employment contract, in particular, such grounds as committing an immoral misconduct incompatible with the continuation of work that has an educational function. This is explained by the importance and role of the teacher in society.
