Basova І. Internally displaced person as a subject of social security law.

The thesis is the first in the national science special comprehensive study of the status of internally displaced person as a subject of social security law. Internally displaced persons as a legal category in historical retrospective and within the modern period are considered in the thesis. The legal status of internally displaced person as a subject of social security law is defined. The international social standards for internally displaced persons are considered for compliance with the national legislation of Ukraine in this sphere. The specific features of legislative regulation of internally displaced persons status in certain foreign countries are determined in order to implement positive legal experience in the national legal practice. The social security concept and types of internally displaced persons are defined. Special aspects for the rights exercised by internally displaced person to such types of social security as pension benefits, social unemployment benefits and financial assistance are defined. Theoretically justified proposals on the current legislation of Ukraine improvement in terms of social security of internally displaced persons are defined taking into account international standards and positive legislative experience obtained by some foreign countries.
