The thesis is the first monographic work in Ukraine that solves a scientific task for forming theoretical foundations and practical recommendations for the trademark infringement investigation. A state of the problem research of the trademark infringement investigation has been determined; the genesis of forensic examination of trademarks and its use during the investigation has been revealed; a forensic characteristic of the trademark infringement has been formed; circumstances subjected to initiation at the initial stage of the trademark infringement investigation have been identified; typical investigative situations and versions of the initial stage of the trademark infringement investigation have been specified; the tactics of conducting investigation (search) actions during the trademark infringement investigation has been disclosed; forms of using special knowledge during the trademark infringement investigation have been identified; a basis for expert research of trademarks has been formed; ways for improving the expert research of trademarks are proposed; prospects for development of special knowledge application during the trademark infringement investigation have been proposed; the guidelines on expert prevention of trademark infringement has been provided.
