Object of study: multi-drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis (MDRPT); the goal: to increase the efficiency of treatment of patients with multidrug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis on the basis of the study of epidemiological, clinical and immunological, microbiological features and application in the complex therapy of glucosaminylmurilipentapeptide (GAMPED) and pentoxifylline; research methods - epidemiological, clinical, radiological, microbiological, immunological and statistical; novelty - new scientific data on predicting the development of the epidemic process with MDRPT in Ukraine and its regions until the year 2025; the step of annual growth of MDRPT in the western region is determined; frequency and profile of MDRPT and extensive drug resistant pulmonary tuberculosis (EDRPT) among residents of Lviv oblast for the period of 2010-2016 are established; supplemented data on signs of an impairment of the immune system that complicate the course and reduce the effectiveness of treating MDRPT patients; the expediency has been proved and the algorithm of application in the complex therapy of patients with MDRPT GAMPED and pentoxifylline has been developed. The field of application is medicine.
