Essay

In the work, a comprehensive clinical and laboratory examination and treatment of 92 patients with mandible fractures located in the dentition was performed. The use of the method of treating mandible fractures with the bracket system, controlled reposition and additional therapy and prophylaxis complex provides an increase of efficiency by reducing traumatic splinting severity, periodontal unloading, improving hygienic and functional properties of splinting construction, and providing a satisfactory condition of hygiene, with a significant difference in the comparison group (p = 0.01), almost complete elimination of periodontal pathogen microflora and reduction of all microorganisms seeding rate on the 21 day of treatment, which does not lead to disbiotic changes, as evidenced by an increase in the resident normal microflora, particularly Lactobacillus spp. The method of treatment of mandible fractures with brackets and guided repositioning, which occurs during the first day, allows to restore dental occlusion in 100% of cases, while traditional splinting by Tigerstedt allows to normalization of bite in less than 90.0% of patients.
