Melnik A. Administrative and legal bases for supervising and controlling observance of the labor legislation of Ukraine

The dissertation is one of the first in the domestic legal science complex research, in which an attempt was made to form the concept of supervision and control over the observance of labor legislation of Ukraine, its features were determined, as well as proposals for improving internal organization and management activities in this area. As a result of the research, a number of conceptual findings were made, a number of new, important scientific provisions that could be used to improve the modern concept of the functioning of public authorities, which oversee and monitor the observance of labor legislation, were advanced and substantiated. The purpose and tasks set in the dissertation study, led to the choice of the appropriate structure of work, which unites three sections, which reveal the following issues: the concept of supervision and control over observance of labor legislation, and their place in the system of public relations; the administrative and legal status of the subjects of supervision and control over observance of labor legislation, and their types; administrative-legal regulation of control and supervisory activity in the field of labor relations; the powers of certain subjects of public control and supervision of observance of labor legislation; tools (forms and methods) of the activities of public oversight actors; administrative-legal regulation of supervision and control over observance of labor legislation in foreign countries; application of public-law instruments of public control over observance of labor legislation.
