Neshkumai A. Formation of the integral industrial complex of the national economy

This thesis deepens theoretical and methodological principles and offers scientific and practical recommendations concerning enhancement of integrity of the national economy’s industrial complex. A number of new scientific findings of various degrees of scientific novelty have been obtained in the course of this study. A methodological approach to determining integrity of the structure of the national economy’s industrial complex has been developed. Its distinguishable feature is that a model of the structure of industrial complexes of developed countries of the world was built based on the per capita GDP indicator, thus allowing to determine development vectors for countries with developing economy. A methodological approach to determining Ukraine’s place in the global economy was proposed; this approach features a harmonious combination of cluster and multifactor statistical analysis methods. Based on these findings, a system of socioeconomic development indicators of the national economy was substantiated. The notion of “industrial complex of a country” was defined, based on an analysis of economic structure of developed countries of the world and Ukraine. It allowed to present a country’s industrial complex as a base element in the structure of the national economy. A definition of the “national economy” category was given; its distinguishable feature is that it takes into account national specifics and the essence of “integrity” of the country’s industrial complex. It allows considering national economy a complex socioeconomic system developing in the historical and national dimensions. A theoretical-methodological approach to determining the effect of integrity of the country’s industrial complex on its domestic market was developed; it takes into account the market’s volume and nature, and allows to determine the areas of its further development. A conceptual model of forming the country’s integral industrial complex was developed on the basis of instruments of government program support, which allows to enhance self-sufficiency of the national economy.
