Zaitsev O. Procedural autonomy and independence of investigating bodies of pre-trial investigation in the criminal process of Ukraine: legal guarantees

In the dissertation the complex research of theoretical and practical problems of procedural independence and independence of investigating bodies of pre-trial investigation in the criminal process of Ukraine was carried out. The historical sources of formation of the status of the investigator are highlighted. The concept and structure of the legal status of the investigator as a subject of criminal proceedings is defined. The concept, essence and system of legal guarantees of procedural independence and independence of the investigator in the criminal process of Ukraine, as well as legal, organizational and legal guarantees of the implementation of procedural independence and independence of the investigating body of pre-trial investigation are revealed. Investigation of the process of implementing the powers of the investigator is carried out in the context of the adoption of appropriate procedural decisions and actions
