The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the strained deformed state (SDS) of the cornice units of curved glued frames made of glued wood. The dissertation work was done to establish the actual stress state of the cornice unit and to improve the methodology for calculating the bent glued frames, taking into account the complex stress state. To accomplish the goal, the applicant sought to develop an algorithm for calculating bended glued frames by means of software complexes based on the finite element method, namely, LIRA-CAD 2016, and performing an analysis of the experimental data of bent glued frames of the DGRP type (curved glued frames with rack casing block). On the basis of numerous studies, the author of the dissertation proved that the calculation of internal forces in the cornice unit of bent bending frames must be carried out in software complexes, which are based on the finite element method, taking into account geometric nonlinearity. Due to the analysis of experimental data, the nature of the destruction and the dangerous parts of the cornice assembly in terms of non-failure of the structure are established. A comparative analysis of numerous and experimental data with the help of the software complex LIRACAD 2016 has been carried out, which allowed us to apply the above reduced software complex for the development of practical recommendations and engineering methods. On the basis of numerical researches of the "base-foundation-overground structures" settlement system in the software complex LIRA-CAD 2016, the influence of uneven settling of foundations on the stressed deformed state of cornice units of bending glued frames has been investigated. According to the results of which the necessity to limit the deformations of the soil foundation has been proved. Relying on the results of the numerical studies, the author specified the engineering method for calculating bent glued frames and compiling the corresponding algorithm. The dangerous places from the point of view of the complex stress condition for the bent glued frames with the index of curvature have been determined less than 4 and more than 4.
