Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the renewal of genre system, which occurs as a consequence of academic music communication space expansion in the late XX – early XXI centuries, as well as implementation of new genre models and new forms of creative communication in the space of contemporary composer’s creativity. New genre paradigms in contemporary composer’s creativity are presented. The connection of composer's personality with principles of musical genre-making is revealed. New forms of creative communication in contemporary Ukrainian music are considered, as well as facilities of genre-style transformation in the works of contemporary composers. Transformation ways of contemporary music genre-style continuum are explored, in which two main directions are distinguished: appeal to genre forms, significance of which remains relevant at the present stage, and innovation of genre canons, which occurs from the part of their program-executive reconstruction. Classification of genre transformations in vocal and instrumental music on the example of creativity of modern Ukrainian composers is presented. Role of the dialogue in shaping consciousness of contemporary composer is revealed.
