In the dissertation the actual scientific and applied task of the improvement of scientific and methodical principles and applied instruments of diagnosing the level of economic stability of construction enterprises as the basis for further improvement of the state of their competitiveness on the segments of the construction market covered by them is solved. The essence of the category «economic stability of the enterprise» is adapted to the specifics of the functioning of the construction market. It is proved that economic stability is formed during the process of operational, administrative, investment, functional, technological and economic interaction with other stakeholders to create a construction (industrial) product and should be defined as an integrated characteristic of achievement and preservation of the enterprise of economic equilibrium at the expense of achieving balanced business indicators within intervals of permissible values, which depend on the stages of the life cycle of the enterprise and subject to policy coherence with the conditions and functionalization of its operating system and administration structure. From these positions, innovative analytical tools for phased diagnosis and administration of the level of economic sustainability that (with the help of special business indicators and analytical subsystems) take into account the specifics of the operating system of the enterprise and the economic, functional, product and other features of the activity of the sub " objects of its environment. The methodological and analytical support provided for calculating the level of stability of industrial and construction enterprises on the basis of the calculation of the integral index is important not only in scientific but also in practical sense, since knowledge of its level enables the enterprise management to make informed decisions regarding cost management, taking into account the negative influence of factors the external environment through the effective formation and use of production, organizational, and financial mechanisms. The toolkit is implemented in a complex of applied programs, with the help of which the practical aspects of assessing the economic stability of industrial and construction enterprises are analyzed, the main indicators of stability are analyzed, a methodical approach is proposed for the determination of the integral indicator of the level of stability, which provides an opportunity to assess the level of stability of industrial enterprises and to determine the organizational and economic factors for improving the efficiency of their operation. The study of methodical approaches in determining the sustainability of enterprise development as an economic system has been carried out. A system of indicators is proposed that can be used to calculate the integral index of enterprise sustainability. The methodical and applied advantages of using (from the standpoint of the format of the proposed instrumentation) of the matrix ABC and XYZ in the management of expenses of the industrial enterprise and making corresponding economic decisions are proved. The plan of measures to increase the integral index of stability was presented, due to the increase of the values of indicators of functional components, namely: production, ecological and managerial-organizational sustainability.
