Essay

In the work, based on result of experimental and clinical research with using of clinical, biophysical, histological, morphometric, statistical methods, it was proposed the way of improving of secondary caries prevention by elucidating the features of different point location of enamel rods in topographically different parts of canine crown and premolar crowns taking into account these data during the carious cavity preparation. The parts and surfaces of human premolars crown and canine with the rectilinear orientation of enamel rods, the arcuate orientation with the apex of the arch directed either to the root of the tooth, or towards the occlusal surface of crown were determined. It was established that in the areas of the arcuate orientation of the enamel rods the microhardness of enamel is greater than in the sections of the rectilinear one. It was set that the content of calcium and phosphorus in enamel crystallites does not significantly affect the microhardness of enamel. The method of secondary caries preventijn was proposed, which involves the formation of an enamel bevel when preparing the carious cavity at an angle as close as possible to the angles of inclination of the enamel rods to the enamel-dentine border, which increases the strength of the enamel-seal connection.
