Salayev K. Economic Security of Azerbaijan in the Conditions of Information Society.

The study substantiates theoretical principles and develops methodological tools for the integrated assessment of the economic security of Azerbaijan, and identifies institutional foundations for strengthening the security in the information society. The thesis provides a comprehensive description of the economic security of the national economy as an object of evaluation and exposes its complexity and multidimensionality, which objectively necessitate the use of integrated assessment tools and require updating approaches to structuring constituents of the economic security and building an appropriate criteria base. A comparative analysis of international practices for assessing the economic security of the countries in the world was carried out. The experience of providing the Ukrainian economic security is considered to be progressive in the aspect of integrated assessment of the security at the macro level. The study proves the feasibility of using such a practice in solving the acute scientific and applied problem of assessing the economic security of Azerbaijan.
