YEFYSKO N. Surgical treatment of patients with zygomatic complex fractures combined with damage of the tuber of maxilla

In the dissertation there is a solution of the actual scientific and practical task, which is to increase the efficiency of treatment of patients with fractures of the zygomatic complex with damage to the tuber of the upper jaw using methods for the reconstruction of the anatomy of the tuber of the upper jaw and the volume of the maxillary sinus. The clinical cases and CT-scan of patients with traumatic fractures of the walls of the maxillary sinus have been analyzed. Various variants of damage of the upper jaw tuber have been systematized, and an easily understandable and applicable classification is proposed. The nature of the pathomorphological changes of adipose tissue, which penetrates into the maxillary sinus, is determined, and correlation relations between the individual clinical-laboratory and pathomorphological parameters that were previously unknown have been studied. It is theoretically justified that the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus should be reconstructed. Key words: fracture, zygomatic complex, tuber upper jaw, maxillary sinus.
