Essay

The work is devoted to the definition of genetic factors that characterize and determine the level of reproduction and productivity in animals of the species Bos taurus, L. and the reasons for its correction. Parameters of metabolism and animal health – bone mineral density and homocysteine levels in blood plasma for further analysis of genes and biochemical correction of genetic effects were estimated. The individual and population genetic characteristics of the animals – the alleles and genotypes frequencies of MTHFR, CYP450, CAPN1, CAST, GH, GHR genes polymorphisms were determined. It is known that the areas of breeding work are closely linked with the economic efficiency of milk production and, consequently, with pricing. Reducing the duration of the days open by 21 days and increasing the pregnancy rate by 6.6 % leads to a reduction in the cost of 2850-3150 hryvnia per cow per year.
