Essay

Object of study - the processes of radiation and reflection of radio and acoustic waves by objects and their propagation in a heterogeneous atmosphere. Purpose of the study - ditermination of signatures of electromagnetic and acoustic fields of radiation and reflections by objects, which are necessary for the development of scientific bases for creation of environmental monitoring systems. Research methods - theoretical methods of statistical radiophysics, radio engineering, mathematical statistics, application of statistical decision theory and experimental methods of studying the features of propagation of radio and acoustic waves in the troposphere. Theoretical and practical results: A technique has been developed for estimating the range of detection of acoustic radiation sources under the influence of attenuation in the atmosphere and interference attenuation by the earth's surface. Theoretically justified the possibility of detecting objects of ground and air equipment by their acoustic radiation at distances of several kilometers. Novelty - for the first time, a simulation model of unsteady acoustic noise of natural and anthropogenic, as well as passive noise from land covered with vegetation using semi-Markov nested processes with several phase states was proposed, which describes the statistical characteristics of noise better than previously known models. A technique has been developed for describing and analyzing quasiperiodic processes, including the propagation of waves in media with dispersion and absorption. The field of application is radiophysics.
