Essay

The work has analyzed data transmission efficiency in mobile operators transport net-works of 3GPP standards and possible approaches to information technology utilization for its increase. This technology raises the efficiency of mobile communication network man-agement as a result of consistent use of the planning method of the referent segment, the model for estimation the cost of managing the core network of a mobile communication operator, the method of evaluating and improving the reliability characteristics of the soft-ware-defined mobile communication segment. For the first time, a method of reliability parameters estimation and increase has been developed for programmable information management system of a mobile network based on hierarchical model of reliability assessment of hardware and software of those systems. This permits to optimize processes of network deployment, modernization and mobile sub-scribers’ servicing robustness. The thesis has elaborated the method of the core segment planning in a mobile com-munication network. The performance indicators of the network can be improved by as-sessment and subsequent enhancement of the reliability of a software-defined segment of the mobile communication network and perfection of the model for estimating the cost of managing a core network of a mobile operator. Computer simulation of the proposed methods, models and technologies has been car-ried out. The research has shown that the average delay in a software-defined network in-creases to a lesser extent than in a traditional network with the growth in the number of switches.
