Lebedko S. Mechanism of the economic security ensuring of transport enterprises

The thesis provides theoretical and methodical regulations and guidelines to form and develop mechanism of the economic security ensuring of transport enterprises in order to increase the efficiency of their activity. The theoretical background of economic security management is deepened. It carries out the analysis of the threats to the economic security of transport enterprises. According to this analysis the controlled (related to human factor, management system, providing transport services, environmental factor, the results of transport enterprises activities) and out-of-control (related to the functioning of transport enterprises in a competitive environment, partners, the specific features of the institutional environment, emergencies, the current state of transport infrastructure) threats to the economic security of transport enterprises are identified. The expediency of considering the issue of managing the economic security of the enterprise using a complex management-based approach is substantiated. The mechanism for ensuring the economic security of transport enterprises has been improved due to the direct impact on the sources of threats, the task of which is to identify factors affecting the economic security of the transport enterprises, monitor the level of security, rationalize and take measures to ensure the target level of security that determines the effectiveness of measures to adjust managerial actions. The system of estimation the economic security level of transport enterprises according to calculation of integral index is developed. The testing of the suggested approach was carried out based on data from three really functioning transport companies. The regression model has been developed for the relationship between the level of economic security of transport enterprises and the profitability of their activities in order to identify potential and / or existing threats to the economic security of the transport enterprises and determine measures to ensure the target level of economic security. Using the model developed, the enterprises under research estimated the increase of profit due to the application of economic security measures.
