Barvinsky, M. Kolessa, O. Kozarenka fills the repertoire demand of the performers compositions of domestic artists. In addition to the patriotic focus of professional development, we point to the global trend of renewed demand for created in the early 20th century. The holistic picture of the evolution of the Ukrainian Piano Sonata is the result of its constant contact with the leading artistic and aesthetic demands of the time. However, the basis of the genre's development is a deep national background, which is especially evident in the works of Lviv composers. Representatives of the Western Ukrainian Composers' School showed us their talent, combining the achievements of European traditions in the development of the sonata genre with a deep national basis.
