Essay

The dissertation presents theoretical and experimental material on the use of the feed additive «Betaine» in feeding pigs at growing and fattening. The most optimal amounts of «Betaine» in feeding on the basis of the obtained results of the research were investigated. The impact of the feed additive «Betaine» on productivity, digestibility of feed nutrients, nitrogen balance, availability of amino acids, as well as on retention of mineral elements of combined feed was determined. The dependence of the pigs’ meat quality characteristics, the amino acid and mineral composition of muscles on the ratio of different amounts of the investigated feed additive was revealed. The morphological and biochemical characteristics of pigs when using the feed additive «Betaine» were studied. The economic calculations of the use of the feed additive «Betaine» in feeding pigs at growing and fattening were carried out.
