Shyrokov M. Water management of Ukraine in the context of food security

The dissertation is devoted to formation of conceptual bases and development of theoretical and applied bases of process of water resources management of Ukraine in the context of food security. The conceptual principles of monitoring of sustainable use of water resources in the national socio-economic system, which is carried out in three directions are proposed. A comprehensive analysis of the state of water resources and the food sector of Ukraine was carried out, correlation processes between water consumption and production volumes were investigated, and an economic assessment of the use of water resources was made. The conceptual bases for the formation of the state strategy for sustainable use of water resources in the context of food security are substantiated, which includes the main and supporting strategies and ensures a balanced realization of 3 key priorities: economic, social and environmental.
