Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the analysis of theoretical frameworks and to the mechanism of legal regulation of relations in the field of philanthropic activity in Ukraine. Also it is investigated the etymology of the concept of "patronage" in the thesis. The Genesis of the Institute of Patronage is clarified, resulting in allocated of six stages of its development and formation in Ukraine. It is refined the conceptual apparatus “philanthropists”, “philanthropic organizations”, “philanthropists” and it is added the list of unsubs which couldn`t be procured by philanthropic assistance. It is highlighted the signs of patronage activity.
