Essay

The object of research– interaction with the soil base of tape foundations with longitudinal cut-out on the bottom; goal – development of effective design of the tape foundation with longitudinal cut-out on the bottom and improvement of appropriate calculation methods; methods–analysis of normative and literary sources, achievements analytical methods for solving soil mechanics problems with the application of theories of elasticity and plasticity; method of direct experiment. Results – analytically solved the problem of distribution of compressive stresses in the basis of centrally loaded foundations with longitudinal cut-out on the bottom, which allows to determine the subsidence of foundations by the normative method of layered summation; the theoretical dependence of the development of plastic deformation zones at the base of a tape foundation with longitudinal cut-out on the bottom is obtained, based on the mixed problem of the theories of elasticity and plasticity to determine the calculated resistance of the base; it is theoretically proved that the calculated impedance of the soil base of the strip foundation with width B=2b+a with a longitudinal cut-out on the bottom of magnitude a is up to 70% greater than the traditional solid strip foundation with width B=2b under other equal conditions and criteria; dependences of sediments of the basis of centrally loaded full-scale foundations with longitudinal cut-out on the bottom in field conditions were obtained; implemented - in project organizations of Kharkov: JSC "Trust Zhitlobud-1" (Kharkov); "Trans Stroy Complex" LLC (Kharkov), as well as used in the course of studying students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of the discipline "Geotechnical support of construction and reconstruction".
