Essay

The thesis presents a theoretical substantiation and a new solution to the actual scientific problem of modern otolaryngology in increasing the effectiveness of surgical treatment of patients with impaired nasal breathing, which is associated with the curvature of the nasal septum based on the enhanced capabilities of the topical diagnosis of the rhinomanometric method of studying the function of nasal breathing . A retrospective study of 76 patients who were operated on the classical scheme and 84 patients who were operated on the data of an improved rhinomanometric study, endoscopic and tomographic studies was conducted. It has been established that with the failure of a radical implementation of septoplasty, edematous mucosal, mainly vasomotor disorders, increase in the long-term, reaching a maximum in the third year after septoplasty. The possibilities of topical diagnosis of rhinomanometric research in combination with endoscopic and tomographic studies have been improved, and the effectiveness of septoplasty has been proven, taking into account the diagnostic data obtained.
