Dunas M. Criminological measures for the prevention of crimes in the sphere of economic activity committed by officials

The dissertation deals with criminological measures of crime prevention in the sphere of commercial activity conducted by officers. The branch approach to criminological content of the concept of crimes in the sphere of commercial activity conducted by officers is substantiated. This helps to minimize subjectivity in the process of interpreting the essential content of this type of crime, and provides for the need to develop it thorough criminological characteristics. It is proved that committing crimes by officers in the sphere of commercial activity is primarily determined by significant negative changes in the socio-economic life of society. The deterministic complexes of economic crimes of officers and, in particular, the duration of influence of criminogenic factors (short, medium and long-term), by territorial factor (external and internal), by content (socio-political, socio-economic, legal and social, organizational and management), etc. In the dissertation the mechanism of legal regulation of commercial activity in Ukraine, as well as the activity of law enforcement agencies providing prevention of economic crimes and, in particular, by officers, are comprehensively investigated. The ways of optimization of information and analytical support of the activity of law enforcement units in the direction of prevention of crimes in the sphere of commercial activity conducted by officers are determined.
