Object - the process of management of investment activity of the enterprises of railway transport. Goal – improvement of theoretical provisions, methodological approaches and practical recommendations for the formation of organizational and economic support for the management of investment activities of railway transport enterprises. Methods - comparative analysis and graphic method, systematization and classification, logical-dialectical, abstract-logical, structural-functional, morphological analysis, expert and computational-analytical. Novelty - improved: the theoretical bases of formation of organizational-economic providing of management of investment activity of the enterprises of railway transport; the organizational approach to project development of enterprises of railway transport; the process of formation and realization of investment projects of enterprises of railway transport; a methodical approach to prioritizing investment of traction rolling stock of locomotive depo; was further developed: the systematization of factors influencing investment activity of railway transport enterprises; theoretical provisions of development of investment potential of railway transport enterprises; organizational bases of rationalization of structure of management of investment activity of railway transport enterprises.
