The dissertation is devoted to complex and thorough analysis of legal regulation of rational use of working time. The essence and features of the economic and legal categories of working time are explained in the work. The state policy in the field of regulation of working hours is described. Modes of working time and its types are considered and characterized. The legal regulation of overtime and night work has been investigated, as well as the peculiarities of the contractual provision of legal regulation of working time have been given and analyzed. Attention is paid to the historical formation and development of legal regulation of working time, the main historical stages are highlighted. The foreign experience of legal regulation of working time is analyzed, the amendments to national legislation are proposed on the basis of the experience of foreign countries.
