Essay

The dissertation is devoted to development of the exposure doses reconstruction system for population living in Ukrainian radioactively contaminated territories (RCT) and implementation of obtained results to database of the State Register of Ukraine of persons, affected due to Chornobyl accident (SRU) for further dosimetric support of radio-epidemiological and clinical investigations. The system is a set of interrelated procedures for estimation parameters that are influenced on exposure doses of both population from radioactively contaminated territories in general and the SRU subjects in particular. The input information for the system is individual data on the person transmitted from the SRU and the results of radioecological and dosimetric monitoring, which were carried out in the residence settlement of that person's. The reconstruction was carried out and radiation doses for 341 436 residents of ten administrative districts of Ukraine were transferred to the SRU. A database of individualized exposure doses for the period 1986–2018 is containing: annual and accumulated effective doses, annual and accumulated absorbed doses from strontium on red marrow and absorbed doses from radioiodine on thyroid gland. The results of the work have been used in a number of international radio epidemiological studies.
