The work is devoted to the study of latent vitamin K-deficiency disorders of prothrombin synthesis in children of the first 6 months of life who receive breastfeeding. To solve the research problems the content of PIVKA-II in blood serum and indicators prothrombin complex in capillary blood in newborns after prophylactic administration of vitamin K1 were determined. These indicators were determined in healthy infants and in those received antibiotic therapy. The questionnaire assessed the supply of daily rations of nursing mothers with filoqinones. It was found that 71% of children of the early neonatal period who did not receive vitamin K1 had a congenital deficiency of this nutrient. In children aged more than 8 days, regardless of receiving or not receiving vitamin K, the deficiency disappeared spontaneously and recurred only in those children who received antibiotic therapy. The PC indicators in children after antibiotic therapy were corrected with Bacillus clausii, which led to a complete normalization of prothrombin by Quick, as opposed to children who did not receive this drug. According to the questioning results of 50 breastfeeding women, it was found that in 86% of cases they were deficient in the recommended level of intake of vitamin K.
