Lavrentiev M. State regulation of regional economic development of Ukraine.

The thesis considers the development of scientific and theoretical positions and justification of the practical principles of functioning of existing budget tools, as well as methodological approaches and recommendations for their improvement in support and stimulation of regional development as an integral part of the state regulation of the national economy. The paper analyzes the evolution of scientific views to the definition of the essence of such concepts as "economic growth", "economic development" and "economic development of the region". The scientific-categorical apparatus of economic science has been improved in terms of interpreting the concepts of "economic development of Ukrainian regions" and "directed economic development of the region". The role of the state in regulating the economic development of the regions and the main instruments of ensuring the state regional financial policy, through which the state regulates and stimulates the economic development of the regions, is determined.
