Essay

The object of research is the process of designing and calculating the characteristics of shunting diesel locomotives. The studies were carried out using the observation method to determine emissions of pollutants and specific fuel consumption, theoretical and empirical studies in assessing the environmental characteristics of a locomotive, the theory and design of locomotives and the theory of locomotive traction in determining the technical, economic and structural indicators of a locomotive. As a result of the study, new scientifically based models for determining the event were obtained: improving the design of the locomotive during its modernization and determining the rational parameters of the hybrid power plant by taking into account the design of the locomotive, operating conditions and environmental indicators. The scope of their application is railway repair plants and depots, in which repairs, modernization of shunting diesel locomotives and their operation are carried out.
