The thesis reveals the significance of opera style as a performance category, which is conditioned by vocal intonation-melodic creativity, at the same time the necessity and basic features of pragmatic approach in opera science are justified. The definition of opera style is proposed in the context of issues of modern vocal and performing creativity; The most effective factors of opera style are determined. Genre-compositional prerequisites of formation of style interpretation properties of opera vocal are discovered, thought bases, psychological prerequisites of vocal opera creativity are revealed; The phenomenon of vocal-performance authorization of opera style is highlighted. The typological approach to the vocal intonation-melodic material of opera works makes it possible to prove that opera speech is a widespread phenomenon because it contains various iconic forms, from pantomimic through effective to verbal and intonation-musical. At the same time, the personal artistic potential of the opera is concentrated in its musical side, semantically expanded on the basis of stylistic enrichment of intonation-melodic material, from which the opera image is built in its vocal-performance interpretation. It is noted that it is in the sphere of art that demonstration samples of feelings are formed, those forms and methods of experience, which are a necessary part of public human consciousness, acquire the importance of psychological universals.
