Essay

The thesis is focused in an implementation of scientific and practical solutions for the strategic performance management process for Ukrainian Steel companies. Based on the study of conceptual and categorical apparatus of the theory of efficiency, effectiveness and performance, the interpretation of the concept of "strategic performance of the enterprise" is given and theoretically justified. The economic essence of performance measurement based on the analysis of the evolution of the performance measurement systems are classified. The reference characteristics of the strategic performance measurement system are determined. The research on systems science of the strategic performance management process is done. The research revealed the global nature of the metallurgical industry and identified trends and features of the functioning of metallurgical enterprises in Ukraine with factors, influencing the performance of metallurgical enterprises. Using advanced benchmarking tools, the author proposed an adaptive methodological approach to measuring the level of strategic performance of the studied business entities according to three perspectives: financial performance, entrepreneurial potential and socially oriented management. In the course of the research it was established a system for evaluating indicators in the areas of measuring the level of strategic productive activity, applied principles for measuring and evaluating the range of improvement of strategic performance on the basis of empirical models of target strategic results, formed the mechanism of ensuring the highest possible level of strategic performance of steel companies.
