The dissertation defines, scientifically substantiates and solves the problem of increasing the efficiency of heavy equipment on the basis of determining its rational technical and structural parameters. Scientific support has been developed for the technological design of heavy CNC machine tools and the selection of equipment from the existing type of machine tools for certain production conditions of heavy engineering enterprises. Mathematical models have been developed to establish a functional relationship between the complexity of parts to be processed, the functions of the equipment and the functional blocks implementing them. Dependencies are proposed for determining the unified composition of functional blocks for constructing the entire gamut of heavy machines on a single elemental basis, including coding methods, classification of grouping of parts, selection of groups of parts by structural and technological complexity for manufacturing on CNC machines, ranking and selection of CNC machines from the existing type of machines for specific production conditions of consumers, the results of a statistical analysis of a database of heavy parts, groups of parts and their complex parts representatives, for the processing of which it is advisable to create new specialized metal-cutting equipment with software control, economically reasonable structures of technological operations for processing complex parts-representatives on heavy CNC machines.
