In this Thesis the theoretical and applied complex research of the subject of crime and its features under the legislation on criminal liability was made. A number of theoretical and applied issues are covered. Based on the study of the historical genesis of the institution of the criminal subject, based on theoretical background and taking into account the positive and negative foreign experience, a number of amendments to the legislation on criminal liability have been proposed. Above all, they outline the improvements of Art. 18 "Subject of crime" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
