Improved conceptual and categorical apparatus by defining the definition of "sustainable development of agricultural enterprises" as a process of irreversible, purposeful and regular qualitative and quantitative changes in the economic system of the enterprise, both positive and negative direction under the influence of factors of internal and external environment in order to economically harmonize, environmental and social spheres. The methodological toolkit for diagnostics of sustainable development of agricultural enterprises has been improved through the introduction of a developed system of interconnected indicators, which act as stimulants and stimulators of this development. The approaches for improvement of directions of development of economic potential of agricultural enterprises and its components, as well as the efficiency of their use, which provide for the development and implementation of institutional support for these organizational structures in order to deepen the development of society, are highlighted. The classification of institutes and institutions of sustainable development of agricultural enterprises by the criteria of formality (formal, informal, mixed), industries (economic, political, legal, social) and the level of hierarchy (related to the social structure of society, which determine the rules of the game (laws, rights) property) related to the management or regulatory mechanism). The directions of diversification of agricultural enterprises under conditions of sustainable development, among which the development of bioenergy based on the use of biomass of cultivated crops and the actual and forecast indicators of energy and economic potentials of the given direction of agricultural enterprises of Cherkasy region were improved. Scientific and practical approaches to taxonomic analysis have been improved, which are based on the calculation of the overall coefficient of sustainable development of agricultural enterprises and the identification of the impact on it of multi-vector indicators, which were eventually integrated into a single indicator.
